All American Magic (“we,” “us”) operates allamericanmagic.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain language, because privacy policies shouldn’t require a decoder ring.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, email, billing and shipping address, phone number (if provided), and what you purchased — needed to fulfill your orders and tickets.
- Account information: if you create an account, your login email and order/ticket history.
- Ticket information: the purchaser’s name and email are attached to each ticket so we can admit you at the door and contact you if a show changes.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never touches our servers — we see only the last four digits and the outcome.
- Technical basics: cookies that keep your cart and login session working, and standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) used for security and performance. We do not run advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To process and deliver your orders, issue your tickets, and check you in at shows.
- To email you order confirmations, ticket links, pickup notifications, and show-change notices — transactional messages, not marketing spam.
- To provide customer service, prevent fraud, and keep the Site secure.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. Ever. We share it only with the services that make your order work:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Our product supplier — for items shipped directly from the warehouse, your name and shipping address are shared so the package reaches you.
- Our hosting provider — the servers this Site runs on, which process data on our behalf.
- Law enforcement or legal process — only if legally required.
How long we keep it
Order and ticket records are retained for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes. Account information is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see below); we may retain what tax law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including Oregon and California residents), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy of it, correct it, or have it deleted. To exercise any of these rights, call us at (503) 995-7379 or visit the shop — we’ll verify your identity and handle it. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
Our shows delight kids from 3 to 93, but the Site’s purchases are for adults: we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Tickets and kits for young magicians should be purchased by a parent or guardian.
Cookies
We use functional cookies only: they remember your cart, keep you logged in, and hold your seat selections while you check out. Blocking them will break checkout — that’s not us being clever, it’s how carts work.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on the Site.
